Connecting with golf fans
If you’re going to serve up tech marketing to hard-core golf enthusiasts in a golf magazine, you’d better make it golf-relevant. We viewed our quarterly print ads in the USGA’s Golf Journal magazine as a chance to help a broader audience better understand how Cisco innovation enhances something they actually care about–the USGA and its championships like the men’s and women’s US Open.
Serving as writer and sharing creative director duties, I partnered with Rick Vargas to create interesting, relevant moments for readers to discover with each new issue. In the process, readers gained a better understanding and appreciation for the Cisco brand.
