Sometimes the story is so good, the trick is getting out of way and just letting it unfold. Such was the case here. Soso grew up in the humblest of circumstances in rural South Africa. Through the Cisco Networking Academy, however, she earned IT certifications that transformed not just her life, but the lives of her extended family.

Serving as writer, I collaborated with creative director Dennis Lim and world-class filmmakers Zack Canepari and Drea Cooper (Flint Town, Paradise Burning, T-Rex) to create a simple yet powerful film that lets you feel Soso’s powerful spirit as well as the powerful impact of the Networking Academy.
